Prior to FOLK's 2014 relaunch FOLK Magazine had a very different look and feel to its millennial driven focus of today. FOLK originally was filled with shelter, food, and lifestyle articles that skewed towards a baby-boomer demographic. In this section of the website you will find a few of my favorite stories from those first two years of FOLK. While the times and styles have changed I will always be grateful for the  abundance of lessons those first two years provided. The people who created these pieces will always hold a very dear place to me, as they taught me so much about living, growing, communicating, and community building. While they have moved on to other projects I continue to appreciate their belief in my dream of creating a brand that gives a voice to millennials across the globe.  — Ben

"The driving force behind FOLK is to immerse the reader in a life that journeys at a slower pace, one that involves drinking sweet iced tea on the front porch, having conversations with friends, reliving the olden days, hunting for the perfect antique and vintage items, eating at local diners, perfecting family recipes, picking tomatoes off the vine, summers spent in a swing under an old oak tree, buying locally made products, driving with the windows down, and creating a life that remembers the little things that make like worth living." — FOLK | Issue 1 | Autumn 2011
